Report Descriptions

There are two types of report: COUNTER reports and Other reports. Additionally, COUNTER reports can be divided into Journal reports, Database reports, Book reports, and Consortium reports.

COUNTER reports follow the specifications published by the COUNTER organization. All COUNTER reports are available using the SUSHI protocol.

Report Name	Description
Journal Reports
JR1: Article Requests by Journal	This report shows the number of successful full-text article requests by month and journal. It is available on both the My Subscriptions and Consortia tabs.
JR1a: Archive Article Requests by Journal	This report shows the number of successful full-text article requests from an archive by month and journal. It is available on both the My Subscriptions and Consortia tabs.
JR2: Access Denied to Article Requests	This report shows the number of turnaways for full-text articles by month, journal, and category (i.e. the reason that access was denied). It is available on both the My Subscriptions and Consortia tabs.
JR4: Searches Run By Collection	This report shows the total number of searches run by month and database. It is only available on the My Subscriptions tab.
JR5: Article Requests by Year-of-Publication by Journal	This report shows the number of article requests per journal by the year of publication (YOP). Where the YOP is unknown,the data displays in a YOP Unknown column. It is available on both the My Subscriptions and Consortia tabs.
Database Reports
DB1: Searches, Result Clicks and Record Views by Database	This report shows the total number of searches, result clicks, and record views by month and database. It includes information for institutions that access Ovid through a federated or automated search. If Ovid is not accessed through a federated search engine, federated search counts will always equal zero. This report is available on both the My Subscriptions and Consortia tabs.
DB2: Access Denied	This report shows the number of turnaways by month, database, and category (i.e. the reason that access was denied). It is available on both the My Subscriptions and Consortia tabs.
PR1: Searches, Result Clicks and Record Views by Platform	This report shows the total number of searches, clicks, and record views by month for your Ovid service by publisher. It includes information for institutions that access Ovid through a federated or automated search. If Ovid is not accessed through a federated search engine, federated search counts will always equal zero. This report is available on the My Subscription tab.
Book Reports
BK1: Title Requests by Title	This report shows the number of successful title requests by month and title. It also includes details such as the ISBN for each title. It is available on both the My Subscriptions and Consortia tabs.
BK3: Access Denied to Content Items by Title	This report shows the number of turnaways by month, title, and category (i.e. the reason that access was denied). It also includes details such as the ISBN for each title. It is available on both the My Subscriptions and Consortia tabs.
BK4: Access Denied to Content Items by Platform	This report shows the number of turnaways by month, platform, and category (i.e. the reason that access was denied). It is available on both the My Subscriptions and Consortia tabs.
Consortium Reports
CR1: Successful Full-Text Requests	This report shows the number of successful full-text journal article or book chapter requests made by each consortium member by month. It is only available on the Consortia tab. The output format is always COUNTER xml.
CR2: Total Searches by Month and Database	This report shows the number of searches, sessions, and turnaways by month and database. It is only available on the Consortia tab. The output format is always COUNTER xml.

Other reports are based on the same data as COUNTER reports, but contain more information as well. Information is available on a much more detailed level, such as by user or by group, and information that is separated in COUNTER reports is available in a single report.

These reports are available for the last closed month, year to date or a specified date range of up to 12 months. If you specify a date range, you cannot schedule the report, but must run it immediately.

Report Name	Description
Journal Detail	This report shows the titles of the journals accessed by the customer, detailing the group, user, and IP address levels. If you request the report at IP address level, you can also include IP address locality information by checking Include IP address locality information. It also includes details such as the number of turnaways. It is only available on the My Subscriptions tab.
Article Detail	This report shows the number of full text reads (including HTML and PDF views) for individual articles for all the journal titles that the customer subscribes to. It also includes details such as the accession numbers. It is only available on the My Subscriptions tab.
Top Articles	This report shows the articles that the customer has viewed most. It details the article titles, authors, journal titles, accession numbers and publication dates. It is only available on the My Subscriptions tab.
Database Detail	This report shows the databases accessed by the customer, detailing the group, user, and IP address levels. If you request the report at IP address level, you can also include IP address locality information by checking Include IP address locality information. It also includes details such as the number of searches and sessions. It is only available on the My Subscriptions tab.
Book Detail	This report shows the titles of the books accessed by the customer, detailing the group, user, and IP address levels. If you request the report at IP address level, you can also include IP address locality information by checking Include IP address locality information. It also includes details such as the number of full-text views. It is only available on the My Subscriptions tab.
Ovid User License Summary	This report shows the number of sessions and turnaways by platform and month. It is available on both the My Subscriptions and Consortia tabs.
Ovid User License Detail	This report shows Ovid user license information, detailing the group, user, and IP address levels. If you request the report at IP address level, you can also include IP address locality information by checking Include IP address locality information. If you check Include Shibboleth Information, the report includes Shibboleth login information. It is only available on the My Subscriptions tab.
Clin-eguide Usage Summary	This report provides a summary of Clin-eguide usage. The content of the summary varies depending on what is included in your Clin-eguide subscription, and whether you access Clin-eguide as a consortium member or not. It is available on both the My Subscriptions and Consortia tabs.
Linking Activity Summary	This report shows the links and the types of links accessed by month. It is available on both the My Subscriptions and Consortia tabs.
Linking Activity Detail	This report shows the links and the types of links accessed by month, and which journals and databases were accessed by the links. You can include IP address locality information by checking Include IP address locality information. It is only available on the My Subscriptions tab.
Project Summary	This report shows the usage of the My Projects area of Ovid, summarizing the uploaded files, created projects, and number of sessions. It is only available on the My Subscriptions tab.
Project Activity Detail	This report shows the usage of the My Projects area of Ovid, detailing the uploaded files, created projects, and number of sessions at group, user, personal account, and IP address levels. If you request the report at IP address level, you can also include IP address locality information by checking Include IP address locality information. It is only available on the My Subscriptions tab.
Peak Usage	This report shows how many users accessed a resource, such as a journal, at the same time. It identifies the resources and the last date and time that they were at peak usage. It is only available on the My Subscriptions tab.
Ovid Access Detail Report	This report shows details about the Ovid subscriptions for Ovid groups. You can include all access for journals, books, and databases, and you can request the report for the different Ovid platforms (Nursing@Ovid data is included with Ovid). You can also include jumpstart information by checking Include Browse URLs. It is only available on the My Subscriptions tab.
